LNB Donates to Finger Lakes Leadership Mural Project
Geneva, New York
The Lyons National Bank (LNB) donated $1,000 to the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce 2010-2011 Finger Lakes Leadership Program.
This year, the program consisted of a mural project on the corner of Castle Street and 5 & 20, at 27 East Castle Street, known as the Konen Office Supply Building. The mural, completed by free-lance artist Hannah Winkler of Montour Falls, depicts the “Seneca Steamer,” a passenger steamboat that traveled between Geneva and Watkins Glen in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
The mural will further enhance the aesthetic appeal of the City of Geneva, and will help connect the 5 & 20 corridor with downtown, encouraging both motorists and lakefront pedestrians to visit downtown.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the site of the mural on Wednesday, June 29, at 5:30pm, followed by a reception at the LNB Geneva Office, located at 399 Exchange Street.
