Today, the Finger Lakes Riesling Festival announced that the 2013 Riesling Festival is set for Aug. 10 and 11 on Lakeshore Drive in Canandaigua, with new attractions and partnerships with LNB – the Lyons National Bank and Canandaigua Rotary. By combining efforts, the Riesling Festival will not only benefit the Canandaigua Family Y, it will benefit charities of the Rotary, including many nonprofits throughout Ontario County, promising to be the largest fundraising event throughout the Finger Lakes region.
The Riesling Festival has partnered with the Canandaigua Rotary Festival and Street Dance, which will bring more kid-friendly, fun activities and games to the festival. New this year, Lakeshore Drive will remain closed Saturday evening, allowing the Rotary to extend the party into the evening. The Rotary Festival will include an additional beer and wine tent, live music and room to dance in the street.
The fifth annual Riesling Festival will be presented by LNB.

In just five years, the Riesling Festival has donated more than $120,000 to the Canandaigua Family Y. The weekend long festival features the best of what the Finger Lakes area has to offer. Attractions included local wine and craft beer tastings, cheese tasting, arts and crafts vendors, great food vendors and restaurants, cooking demonstrations, live music, kid-friendly activities, fireworks, an antique and exotic car show, and much more. The “Mile of Family Fun” provides a fun and healthy environment for families and children of all ages, all weekend long.
